Fascination Street with Helicopter interruption
from Cure News 10
question: how did you feel playing glastonbury? did you enjoy the show? were you concerned about the number of injuries to cure fans?
robert: glastonbury was ok, but it's organisation does leave an awful lot to be desired. there should have been crush barriers in the main field. - the one particular incident down the front with the girl being given the kiss of life shocked us a bit too much to really get into the set.
question: would you ever play glastonbury again?
robert: no. i don't think so.

'Fascination Street' interrupted by helicopter
Someone got hurt and the helicopter had to land to take the person to the hospital...
I think the guy got crushed. During the gig Robert is repeatedly asked to tell the crowd to move back, at one point he says 'well we will just have to play slower songs so you almost fall back, this is The Same Deep Water As You'!

Venue trivia:
  • from Infoman a very nice guy from the organizers of the Glastonbury Festival:
Think the best answer for you is that the Glastonbury Festival is held at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Shepton Mallet, Somerset. I believe the Cure played the main stage, which is called the Pyramid Stage. If this is not enough, please get back to me. In peace, Infoman
  • Worthy Farm is the place where the stages stand, Pilton is the town where this Worthy Farm is part of, Shepton Mallet is a bigger town in the near of Pilton, Somerset is the region where Pilton and Shepton Mallet are in. So this means the Glastonbury Festival isn't held in or around the town Glastonbury? Yes, right in every way. The 600 acre Festival site looks towards Glastonbury town with a good view of the famous Tor. In peace, Infoman
  • The Cure appearances at this venue:
    1. 1986-06-21 Worthy Farm
    2. 1990-06-23 Worthy Farm
