Robert: "After the tour, I went to Wales again with Mary. I played football on the beach, went for walks and listened to cassettes of old Cure concerts. I remember realising how close I'd come to being a total idiot, that I'd done it all without thinking why I was doing it. I was stupefied, unhappy and sick but I came out of it eventually and, when I came back from my holiday, The Cure did the Rock Around The Clock TV show from Barrowlands in Glasgow and I felt freshand enthusiastic again."
