- In 1981 The Cure performed for the first time at the Werchter Festival. There were delays in the programme on that day, and Robert Palmer's crew tried to cut The Cure's gig short. In response, at the end of the song "A Forest", Simon shouted into the microphone: "Fuck Robert Palmer! Fuck rock 'n' roll!". Now, exactly 45 years to the day, when Simon played his bass solo at the end of "A Forest", Robert referenced to this by singing "We love Robert Palmer, we love rock 'n' roll", which made Simon grin.
